I WON! Singing at Dodger Stadium.

It was just another Saturday afternoon. We had just hauled a couch about 50 miles away to its new resting place at my Aunt & Unc's antique store and were en route back to LA via some dusty country road. Suddenly I get a call from my best friend, Whitney.

"Hello?" I said.
"YOU WON!" an enthusiastic voice cried on the other end of the line.

I had forgotten that I'd even entered. Whitney had tipped me off to a contest earlier in the week: The Los Angeles Dodgers were looking for a fan to sing the national anthem. So I tweeted them a video of me singing our U.S. "theme song" and unassumingly went on with my day.

Now it was Saturday, and I won! The announcement had been made via twitter.

"WHAT?!" I responded to Whitney.

Then my cel phone lost service.

So I spent the next twenty minutes waiting with much anticipation to call everyone with the news!

The next day I headed to Dodger Stadium with my male entourage of buds and my boyfriend. Everyone at the park was so accommodating and thorough. It could not have been better. After running through the anthem and God Bless America with organ veteran Nancy, they let me run through the numbers again down on the field. So I felt super prepared and ready to go. I've also reunited temporarily with the music group formerly known as Bonjour for some fund-raising gigs up in Northern California this May! We're presenting numbers from the hit musical Chicago and Cabaret.

In a few weeks it will be available for download all over the internet. For now, we have 150 copies to give away at our show tonite (Jan 14th 2010) @ On the Rox above the famous Roxy venue in Hollywood.

I am alive!

Taking up my time these days:
1. a singing group called Bonjour. we are taking our second interview with Live Nation on Monday. *fingers x'd*!

2. a sweet band called end of ever. we have a really fresh and catchy sound, I'm so excited to reveal our demos, which are being recorded currently.

3. several live shows under my solo project, with a full band. Generally for fun and at the request of friends.

4. a short film entitled "Always Now" in which I play the lead female role.

5. a one-time role on Speed Channel's "Supercars Exposed" in which race-car driver Tanner Foust and I hijacked a classic car.

6. a modeling gig with shockhound.com - photos in my gallery

guitar lessons so i can rock, exercise, commercial agent interviews, acting classes, dealing with my car's frequent freak outs and loving life in general. rawr!

Celebrity co-hosts Emily Procter, Judy Reyes and Poppy Montogomery joined the more than 13,000 participants in a walk and run benefit. Bonjour performed inspirational songs.

I'm pleased to announce that Bonjour, the group of lovely ladies that I have been singing with, has been booked to perform the National Anthem at Staples Center on New Year's Eve 2008, when the Clippers play.

What an honor and a blessing for the New Year! You can catch it on Fox Sports Network's Prime Ticket at 6:30 pm, Dec. 31.

For the past month or so, I've been rehearsing and performing the role of Heidi the Kit Kat Girl in that fantastic musical Cabaret at Westminster's brand new Rose Center Theater. Our production boasts and impressive cast, and if you haven't ever seen this groundbreaking musical you should. It is one of the most important and socially relevant musicals to ever grace the broadway stage, and more importantly, it's delightfully entertaining daaahling! I should mention that The Rose Center Theater is a state-of-the-art facility with a huge stage, and a quality comfortable viewing experience is guaranteed.

About the Jazz Bakery
Run by a nonprofit organization, the Jazz Bakery is one of Los Angeles' premier jazz clubs. Open seven nights a week, the Bakery often has a major jazz artist four or five nights a week and top local players who appear during the remaining slots. The club sometimes features Sunday matinees. Excellent performers who have appeared here include Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Billy Higgins, Mark Murphy, Carmen Lundy, Kenny Burrell, Steve Lacy and Toots Thielemans. Singer Ruth Price is the proprietor. The cover charge ranges from $10-$25 with no drink minimum. There's also a small restaurant.

Yay! I've just been cast as Marty in Grease!
Producer/Director Steven Sabel will head up the production for Catalina Island Resort Services Entertainment. Judith Johansen will serve as music director. We'll be performing in the historic Avalon Theatre at the Catalina Casino on Catalina Island. Grease will be presented for two nights only, Friday, Sept. 5, and Saturday, Sept. 6, in the 1100 seat, historic art deco Avalon Theatre. General admission tickets will be priced at $18 per person. Jacque's Dance Expressions 10 year anniversary recital -- Celebrating
students over the past ten years in June at the Marysville Community Auditorium.

485 dancers appeared in this show. A special alumni cast performance number “Hotel California” featured: Candee Jensen-Parker, Shalisa Peck, Melinda Hall, Amanda
Blanchard, Dahni Piro, Emily Long, Kristin DeLaney, Lauren Struckmeyer, Lucas Ledbetter, Heather Netheway, Hilary Bock and Jacque Dake.
